When you attend a classic and antique outboard motor show like the Northwoods Chapter's Tomahawk meet there is so much to see, and so much you don't know about, that it really takes looking at the photos of the event to process what was there.
Jack pointed this motor out to me as being, perhaps, something people wouldn't want to miss!
I've transcribed the information posted with this motor.
"This Scott-Atwater engine has the rare optional accessory "Green Hornet" racing lower unit. This lower unit allowed the engine to be competitive in APBA's B Stock Outboard racing category. According to one source, the Green Hornet lower unit allowed the 16HP Scott-Atwater to be competitive with the Mercury KG-7 racer but was no match for the Mark 20H.
This engine is equipped with the improved second version of the Green Hornet lower unit."

Now for all the youngsters out there, the Green Hornet originally was a radio show starting in the 30s. Jack remembers well glueing himself to the radio to hear it (although not in the 30s!).
You can hear many of the episodes which are gathered in the Internet Archive! You might have taken time off from reading your Indian Silver Arrow brochure to gather around the radio in 1930 to hear the latest adventure!
