1930 - Inside The Outboard - Part 1: The Basics; Also, 1930 Indian Silver Arrow Brochure

This series is a good read for anyone new to this crazy hobby of restoring and/or collecting old outboards.  The article follows the photos.

Put yourself into the place of the person who originally read this. It was a little more than ten years after WW I, and it was the Depression, but outboards were making some great advances that gave a guy something to dream about and aspire to...

I didn't get many photos of the running boats and their motors this year since Friday (the downpour day) is when I usually get around to it.

That means I didn't get Yankee Chapter's Brook Neucomb's Indian Silver Arrow zooming around the river!  These photos are in that missed opportunity's  place.
Can you imagine dreaming over one of these brochures as the Depression grinds it way across the country?

This series of articles ran over several months.  This is the end of this installment.
