The Antique Marine Engine Exposition takes place in August each year at the Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic Connecticut. As the Seaport page says -
"Collectors from around the country will show off full-size and miniature 19th- and early 20th-century marine engines and inboards, outboards, steam, gasoline, diesel, electric, and naphtha engines."If you want to come to this show next year it is a great family outing! There is a ton of stuff for kids to do, from the youngest to whatever. Your ticket is good for two (3?) days so you can be laid back, picnic, take your time and explore. Relax. You don't have to see everything, just have fun.
This year it also happened a show in new exhibit building had outboards from the Seaport collection (usually not on display) as part of the show, STREAMLINED: FROM HULL TO HOME.

Turns out scattered thunder storms over Connecticut just stalled and circled over Mystic.
It would pour, then clear, then rain, then clear, then pour and pour, then clear...ALL day!
Just found more pics from rainy Saturday. At the end I added general photos of the seaport to convince you to bring the family :-) Remember, if you set up and show something you get free admission!!
