Tuesday Afternoon - Tomahawk WI, August 4, 2015

Warmed up so sweatshirts were shed; the sun still feels real good and so does finding a place out of the breeze.  Great weather!  Now that Jack has a golf cart to putt around in he is never "home" here under the tent.  I have to admit I didn't take many pictures this afternoon, just grooved on being on vacation :-)

This short video was a practice for the coming days.  Now that Jack has wheels we can zip around more.  I'll make them closer to stuff and larger later...fear not :-)  Wish we had an electric cart so you did not hear putt-putt-putt-putt-putt...

Sara Park from the water.

Lots of dogs accompany their outboards to Tomahawk.  This park gives them a nice place to run around.

This is the arena.  Northwoods Chapter sets up for tomorrow in there today, but early this morning it was full of seniors playing pickle ball.

Did I tell you what the ice cream pennants are for?  I forget.  But if you bring a rowboat motor to run in the Bess Evinrude Rowboat Motor Ice Cream Run on Friday I'll give you one for free.  I sewed up a bunch so you can still have a nice choice of flavor :-)

The Sarah Park grounds crew keeps things tidy.  The trash containers have tight lids to keep the yellow jackets and flies from being attracted.

Check out these fins.  They are CAST metal!

Tuesday afternoon has the place filling in.  There are still many sites with reserved cards on them where folks have not arrived yet.  The still available field sites are filling but there are still lots to be had.  The asphalt runway is full.

Is that a great sign or what?

Decisions, decisions....

This is shot from the far end of the major SIDE road looking back to the runway.

One side of the runway is lined with evergreens, giving shade and wind protection for weary shoppers:-)

Boat Yard starting to look better! It is right across for the bathrooms so everyone gets to notice what's on sale.
